Potential Number Of Units Affected : 402

Summary:
 On certain motorcycles, the fuel pump and ignition relays installed during production could be defective. This can cause the instrument panel to stop functioning and the engine to stop.

Consequence:
 If the engine stopped while the motorcycle was being driven, it could increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: 
 Dealers will replace the fuel pump and igntion relays. the recall is expected to begin during October 2006. Owners may contact Ducati at 1-408-253-0499.
