Summary:
Startrans is recalling certain model year 2006 through 2009 transit buses manufactured between August 9, 2006 and June 25, 2009, equipped with Trans/Air air conditioning systems. Each Trans/Air system comes with an electrical kit and ec pc board which if improperly installed could overheat.

Consequence:
Overheating of the pc board could result in a fire.

Remedy:
Startrans will notify owners and the buses will be repaired by either Startrans or Trans/Air free of charge. Please see Trans/Air''s defect report 09E-042. The safety recall is expected to begin during October 2009. Owners may contact Trans/Air warranty and service department at 1-800-673-2446 or Startrans at 1-574-642-0811.
