Fireworks Over America Recalls Fireworks Due to Shock HazardDate: 7/10/2008
Reason: The parachutes can become entangled in overhead power lines causing a shock hazard to users and bystanders.

WASHINGTON , D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Oh Chute Parachute with Streamer Fireworks Units: About 84,250 Distributor: Fireworks Over America, of Springfield, Mo. Hazard: The parachutes can become entangled in overhead power lines causing a shock hazard to users and bystanders. Incidents/Injuries: Fireworks Over America has received one report of entanglement, in which a consumer's hand was burned and shocked. Description: The recalled Oh Chute Parachute with streamers is a firework item with a light blue cylinder with white clouds. The model name is printed in triplicate on the front of the tube and FOA #2085 is on the lower back of the tube. This item is sold separately or in a box of four. Sold by: Various fireworks stores nationwide from April 2007 through June 2008 for about $2.50 each and $8 a box. Manufactured in: China Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the product and return it to either the place of purchase or Fireworks Over America for a full refund. This can pose fire and burn hazards to consumers. Distribution: Nationwide Date: 9/26/2008 Reason: Cracks can develop in the welded joints of the drive axle assembly of the snowmobile and can result in complete breakage. If this happens the track of the vehicle can unexpectedly lock, causing riders to be ejected off the vehicle or lose control and collide with bystanders, a fixed object or other vehicles. Distribution: Nationwide Date: 9/11/2008 Reason: UNDER SOME CIRCUMSTANCES STEERING STEM ARM ABRASION WITH A FUEL VENT HOSE MAY CAUSE FUEL AND OR VAPOR LEAKAGE - POSSIBLE FIRE OR EXPLOSION IF IGNITION SOURCE PRESENT. Distribution: NATIONWIDE Date: 9/22/2008 Reason: These regulators can be missing the diaphragm cover which can cause the diaphragm to become displaced during a dive, allowing water to enter the scuba regulator. This poses a drowning hazard to divers. Distribution: Nationwide. Date: 9/26/2008 Reason: The jack lifts can have threads stripping or the nuts breaking, resulting in the shaft slipping and the mower falling from its stand-up position. This could cause serious personal injury to the consumer or property damage. Distribution: Nationwide Date: 10/27/2008 Reason: The gas grills can be assembled improperly exposing the gas burner hoses to excessive heat, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.
