We occassionally receive emails like "how can you point out the bad things corporations do" and then allow advertising on your website by many of these same companies or products that are the defendants in class actions? The answer is simple - it costs a lot of money to maintain our site. You'll note that you don't pay thousands of dollars per year for site access that similar law firms pay other professional services for the information on this site. The reason you don't is because advertising helps us keep our cost structure down and bring you our unique service.

While the majority of advertising on our site is generally relevant and tasteful, I fully agree that occassionally some of it may be distasteful. Unfortunately, with the way much of the advertising on the Internet works, we have no control over the advertisements. The big boys, such as Google, control who advertises with them, and when we strike a deal with Google to bring in advertising on our site, WE have no control over how Google presents their ads. If we had an ad sales force, we would surely decline any distasteful ads. We may someday get to this point, but right now we don't have such a salesforce. We hope that you understand how important advertising revenue is to us in order to bring you our site, and ignore any ads that you find distasteful. On the same note, we also hope that you'll support the advertisers you find relevant.
