Consumers Horrified to Find Skin Blisters and Internal Burns from Using Motrin

Kahn Gauthier Swick is investigating possible lawsuits against Johnson and Johnson subsidiary McNeil-PPC, Inc., the maker of the popular over-the-counter painkiller Motrin, on behalf of Motrin users who have suffered a severe skin and mucus membrane reaction.

The active ingredient in Motrin is ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. NSAIDs can cause allergic reactions, and one such reaction is erythema multiforme, a skin disorder. This is usually mild, but in some cases it can advance to a serious condition called Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), or a very dangerous condition known as toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN).
