Medicare social security disability - SOCIAL SECURITY MEDICARE RED TAPE
I have been on SSDI since 1995. I attempted to go back to work in about 2002-2003. Because of my working full time in a good job, i had an issue with ssdi. We communicated, and i thought I had taken care of the issue. I subsequently had to return to disability.
I had a major surgery august 4, 2008. I am having some issue's now. I found that my medicare had been completely cut off. There is an error in the system and, now i need to have more MRI tests, I need to see the surgeon, and, I cannot unless i pay cash at this particular hospital. I called social security and went into a local office in CA. I was told a few days ago, that all my medicare permiums had been paid, and, i still do not have an activated account. I need physcial therapy to reduce scar tissue, and, i need to have another MRI before i go back to the state i live in. I am so concerned about my surgery. I waited 10 yrs. to find an M.D. who knew what was wrong. This is so discouraging. I did try to find help with a disability group who helps with things like this, but, waiting to hear from them. (They are really helpful) but, in the meantime, my health and recovery are suffering. I need to schedule an MRI now and cannot unless i pay 1050.00
