California State EDD - Declined for Unemployment Ins
I was declined unemployment benefits because I had been warned about being late before the day I was fired. I have paid in for many years without attempting to collect. When I need it it's not there. I had been being treated by my employ in a way that was depressing me greatly. I had a really hard time going to work when I my employer did't care enough to hook up medical insurance for me. I spent several thousand when I did go and he asked if I wanted to borrow some money. The medical insurance was part of my agreed upon contact. I had a manager who blamed me for things he did because he was afraid of looseing his footing with the boss. Was any of this considdered when I was declined ? No! I believe that if you pay into unemployment insurance than you should be able to collect it when you need it.
