Experian - refuses to place fraud alert
I have had several fraudulent purchases on my credit cards. I filed a police report and send all the necessary documentation to the three credit reporting agencies to request a freeze be placed on my file. Despite sending copies of my drivers licence, mortgage statement, social security card and passport, Experian just keeps generating mail that says they do not have the proper information to place a freeze. I responded to one letter with addition documentation only to recieve the same letter back from them. I cannot place a call to them since they do not have a phone number that will deal with this issue. I believe the credit reporting agencies are in business to sell your personal information and they resist any action that prevents them from doing so.
