Comcast Cable Company - Problem with Phone Service
In Jan, 2008- I signed up for Comast Bundled Services, cable, internet, and home and business telephone. First the Comcast company came out and installed my cable and internet services, stating at this time phone service was not available in my area but in approx. 2 to 3 weeks it would be, so I was issued 2 seperate phone numbers as I had wanted (one for personal- one for my business and charged a 100.00 deposit on my business line in which I paid) - Approx. 3 weeks later Comcast contacted me to let me know that service was no available and to make an appt for the techs to come and install. Installation was completed which consited of Comcast changing my internet modem out, and since both numbers worked I assumed all was fine at this point. The plan I orginally signed up for was 99.99 for all 3 services, but was always billed in excess of 150.00 a month, I tried and tried to get this billing straight with Comcast but to no avail, they kept saying they were taking notes and all would be taken care of - but now 6 months later, I have given up on that with Comcast, But the major problem now starts, my phone service when out, I contacted Comcast for repair, they stated that I dont have phone service with Comcast- so there fore they cant repair it - approx. 2 weeks later I am still calling them most of the time two and three times a day, still some reps with the same excuse that I dont have phone service with Comcast, though the first three digits 940 are Comcast assigned numbers only, so finally asking one rep. well how did I get the service if the 940 is Comcast only- to be told a ghost must have hooked it up, One rep actually told me on the line that she was looking thru my line from her end and to stay on the phone and she could tell me what was wrong, 20 minutes later she came back to the line to tell me I dont have service with Comcast, finally after about 60 dials into Comcast, they told me they had found my account and would send a tech out for repair for my phones. The tech did come out as promised, but didnt fix my phones at all, instead he verbally abused me by calling me names, stating I was a liar and didnt have Comcast phone service, he actually threw the Comcast paper work at me. My oldest son, who is 30 was at my house at that time and the Comcast man truck number 463 parked behind him in the driveway and refused to let him get out in his car to go to work, I asked the man for his name but he wouldnt give it to me, he just kept cursing at me and being rude, so I told him to get out of my house, instead of going to his van and leaving, he left the van still running for approx. one hour and 45 minutes in my driveway blocking my sons car in, while he left walking I have no idea of where or why so this turned into a police call, to get the van moved, they found the Comcast tech and proceeded to ask him why he didnt fix my phone, he told them the same thing that I have no service with Comcast, but the one question was never answered that I did ask the tech many times, then why did you come to my home as a tech repairman he stated that Comcast sent him to come and to tell me that I had no service with Comcast. I called at this time Comcast corp office in Pa and filed a complaint there, no one never answered it, and my phone was still dead. A few days later I started calling Comcast again about my issue with the phone, this time they stated that I actually do have service with them as they found my account but cant come and fix my phone because they had ran a test on it and it works, but it didnt - So now a few days later- I lost my job because of my phone as I work from home on my phone- I am trying to figure out how to place a law suit against Comcast - any help would be greatly appreciated.
