Geneva Roth Ventures - Taking unauthorized money from my checking account
I had a company by the name of Smith something or another deduct 115 from my checking account without my permission. I had my bank call and see who this was. They said they worked for Geneva Roth. I then got on the line and tried to explain the payment arrangements I had agreed to and the 115 deduction was not one of them. They immediately asked to speak to the bank representative again because I was so upset. And of all the nerve, they told the bank that they were a member of the Banker's Association and they could take money from any open account they choose. Boy! Was I shocked. I am closing all bank accounts. I am also talking to a debt advisor and have reported them twice to the BBB. The advisor told me that I was one in a million complaints against these people. I am very upset. I have been overdrawn so much because these people went into my account so many times that I didn't authorize. Each time I get a call now, I ask them if they are associated in any way with Geneva Roth. When this account gets closed, I will not have another bank account. I will pay everything with money orders. However, most payday loan companies have no mailing addresses. They want you to purchase a prepaid Visa and pay them with that. That costs money too. Isn't there a law that as long as you pay something on your account, they can do nothing! Who made the law that just anyone can get into my account and take my money?

I forgot to add that I am now under a doctor's care for anxiety and depression that has been brought on by having so many nsf's. I know what the agreement was and was doing fine with it until this company started doubling up on what they were taking out and taking out amounts of money that I had no idea they were taking out. I started calling the bank's 800 every day and as soon as the automated voice came on with your available balance is minus something or another that Geneva Roth had been messing with it again. I want my money back!! One representative asked me how can we refund your money if you won't give us your bank account number and I said mail it to me. Of course I didn't hear anything else from them yet, but they will soon show up with another way of trying to rip me off, I'm sure. No more bank accounts for me if these people can just deduct money whenever they please.
