UMB Bank - Bogus Check
Black cats on United Missouri Bank! Today, I received a check for 960.00; I did a little bit of research and calling on it to make sure my check was legit since I got burnt by a different bank. Turns out if you see moneygram or anything to do a survey, rip that check up and toss it; it's no good. Should you charge the check, the bank will balk at depositing it; the check will be returned to you. The other outfit said I was stealing from them; turns out I did not follow a procedure by them (they were a phony outfit anyway), and I've BBB'd the other bank. UMB could also get BBB'd, too.
