Oasis Auto Sales - Saling a defective vehicle
On Feb. 23, 2008 my son purchased a 1996 Chevy Blazer from Oasis Auto Sales. Within two weeks the front and back brakes went out. After a month the starter went out and the transmission started slipping. He constantly had to put water in the vehicle to keep it from over heating. At the beginning of April my son had to park the vehicle in our drive way because the vehicle overheated and he found water in the oil, which mean either a blown head gasket or a cracked block. My son has made several attempts by phone and in person to talk to the owner to resolve the problem. On May 5, 2005 Oasis Auto Sale repossed the the vehicle and are asking for the balance due on the contract but also storage, towing, attorney, repossesion and key fee's. I object to the tacticts that Sam the owner of Oasis Auto Sales uses in has sales efforts and I believe his intent is deceptive and misleading. He buys vehicles does the minimal amount of mechanical repairs then sales them 'AS IS' then when the vehicle breaks down shortly after they are not held resposible for saling an inadiquet vehicle. If the costomer then decides to quit making payments Sam then reposses the vehicle adding on other charges to the contract, once again does the minimal repairs and sales the vehicle again. While keeping any money already paid toward the contract balance and down payment.
