Midland Credit Management,, Inc. - Didn''t Return Letter with Payment Deducted
I received a letter from Midland Credit Management Inc, stating it is the Servicer of FCNB-Spiegel account. The account was a charge-off. Not knowing what to do, I agreed to make a payment for 6 months. Midland sent me a letter stating it did not received my payment for 125.00 which was due on 02-28-2008. I called and spoke to the Account Manager. I sent a letter dated March 6, 2008 regarding the conversation of Wednesday, March 5, 2008. Confirming my agreement to pay and that I was to receive a letter each month showing the amount deducted from the balance until the debt was paid. In order to pay off the debt in 6 months, I needed to pay 186.67 for 5 months and a final payment of 186.70. I made the first payment. Midland did not honor the agreement and sent me no letter. I called and spoke to the Account Manager which she claimed she mailed it (funny, when I missed the first payment, the letter arrived). On April 10, 2008 I sent a second letter (certified) of request along with a self-addressed envelope asking for a letter and now I am withholding payment until I received this letter. I don't know what else I can do.
