dollar general - average less than minimum wage
I have worked for this company for a number of years. I have put in over 70 hours a week at times getting my store to look its best. I use to be able to maintain and not go over the alotted hours the allowed my. Now all of a sudden the stores new district manager decideds she wants us to open different hours which is over 20 more than I did with less labor hours. This area is high risk and many a stores have been robbed. There is no way I will put myself or my people in danger by allowing one person to open and close. But they only allow me enough labor hours now for one person. I would like to know if the company knows of this practice. I have tried to contact them to know avail. I would just like someone to bring this to the Corporations attention. I know there are others like me. Have a blessed day
