2001 VW passat turbo - OIL PROBLEMS
WELL I BUYED A CAR IN 2005 WITH 70.000 MILES ON IT AND CLEARLY AS ALWAYS PUSHED TO BUY A WARRANTY, FIRST THING IN START OF 2006 WAS A VISITI FROM THE POLICE TELLING ME THAT MY CAR HAD BEEN IN A HIT AND RUN, FOUND OUT IT WAS PRE TO ME BUYING IT WHICH WAS A SHOCK TO ME SINCE THE CAR WAS OWNED BY THE CARDEALS GIRLFRIEND, SECOND PROBLEM WAS THAT THE STOP CAR LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN THE LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON WELL CALLED THE DEALER TURNED OUT THAT THE OIL FILTER THAT WAS IN THE BOOK WAS NOT THE ONE WE NEEDED TO USE AND LOOKED ONLINE THEY KNEW THAT BEFORE SELLING THE CAR TO US AND NEVER SAID ANYTHING, SO THEY TOLD US THAT THAT WAS THE PROBLEM AND WE JUST NEEDED A DIFFERENT OIL FILTER GOT A DIFFERENT OIL FILTER AND A NEW OIL CHANGED EVEN THOUGH WASNT NEEDED AT THE TIME NOW TWO MONTHS LATER HAD THE SAME LIGHT COME ON AND WHEN I CALLED THEY ASKED ME IF I HAD A WARRANTY AND I SAID YES THEN I TOLD THEM THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND THEY TOLD ME OH WELL THE COMPUTER JUST NEEDS TO BE RESET, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT HAD THE COMPUTER RESET AND NOW A FEW MONTHS AFTER THAT MY CAR IS NOT RUNNING AND NO LONGER HAVE A WARRANTY SO I HAVE TO PAY THE 8000 TO GET IT FIXED. IF THEY HAD TOLD ME FROM THE START IT WOULD HAVE ONLY COST ME 1000 TO FIX NOW I FEEL LIKE THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THAT IT NEEDED A DIFFERENT OIL FILTER THEN THE BOOK SAYS AND FEEL LIKE THEY JUST TOLD ME THAT IT WAS THE COMPUTER KNOWING MY WARRANTY WOULD RUN OUT AND THEY WOULD BE OFF THE HOOK. I FEEL CHEATED AND I FEEL LIKE THEY GOT THEY WAY AROUND PAYING TO GET IT FIXED AND REALLY JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE BEFOR I GO DOWN AND UNDER ON A CAR PAYMENT ON A CAR THAT DONT RUN THAT THERE ISNT ANYTHING I CAN DO.
