Ford Motor Credit - discrimination
I wanted to purchase a new f-150 and worked a deal. Then was sent to FI where it went down hill from there. Once my credit had been run he stated don't look like a problem. FMCC declined and he then placed a call to the loan office which was located in Dallas. She stated I had a repo on record back when I went through a hard time. However this was in 1998 and she explained it remained on record for (TEN) years. It does not appear on my credit report. I stated this was a time barred debt and I turned it back. She later contacted me on my cellphone and explained she would otherwise have extended the credit. I feel this is not lawful since Okla law states 5yrs on contract. Texas is 4yrs on contract and up to 7 years on credit report. My best friend happens to have the exact same credit scores and he was extended credit 2 weeks prior. At a very low interest rate and no problems getting the deal done. I feel this was clearly a case of discrimination by fords own adimission. The loan officer was Alice Heatherly @ 1-800-777-9635 ext 21770 at ford motor credit. I feel this also violates fair credit reporting as well as equal credit opportunity act. This is a time barred debt and no action can be taken. However she gave me the number to NCO Financial stating they bought the debt. Billingsley Ford of Ardmore Oklahoma was the dealer. They handled the friends finance with FMCC without a issue and attempted to handle this one. I think FMCC willfully broke the law when they admitted holding a debt in excess of 7 yrs against me. And feel they discriminate on a daily basis and get away with it. Of course ford has no website to file a complaint to voice a complaint. I feel they owe me a real explaination on how they think its legal to hold something against someone for so long.
