Residence Inn at Chantilly - Embarssment and Discrimation Services
I would like to report a very embarrassing incident that occurred at your hotel.
I checked into the Residence Inn on December 21st, 007 and was supposed to checkout on December 22nd, 2007, the next day. Upon checking in at the hotel at about 3:00 a.m. in the morning because of my flight being delayed, the gentleman that was on at the time was very nice and pleasant. At the hour in the morning a person can be very exhausted from traveling.
My daughter had forgotten to bring the authorization with her when she came to pick me up at the airport, the night clerk decided to allow me to give 100.00 as a deposit until the next day when the authorization could be brought in and checked me, my daughter and grandchildren in.
The next morning the clerk at that front desk telephoned the room in which I answered, he was very rude and bad mannered to me and told me that I had to come to the front desk, as soon as possible, because he needed the authorization stating that I had gotten a discounted rate. I in turn told him to give me an hour because my daughter had went to collect it from her home. I t was agreed that he would wait.
I received yet another call from a young lady with initials KMB, who too rudely and impolitely started shouting to me over the phone. She stated that I did not deserve to be in that hotel or to have that rate. I asked her what she meant that I did not deserve to be in that hotel and hung up the phone. I then prepared to pack up my belonging to exit the hotel at that time. I then heard a loud knock on the door as I was getting my belongings together along with my two grandchildren ages 5 months and three years old. The gentleman opened the door not caring or even knowing if I was naked at the time in the room. This is quite unprofessional in this or any type of business to have people like of this caliber and with the kind of attitude working in its establishment.

The gentleman began shouting and causing a commotion with door wide open for me to get out!!, he did not know who I was and I told him not because he was “white” that he can speak to me like a dog and in the manner in which he was shouting. I know it was because I was black that he did that and carried on the way that he did. It was clearly uncalled for their actions, because he and the lady believed that I was telling a lie about the authorization.
Being an Executive Assistant to a high ranking government official I often deals with the Residence Inn Hotel all the time when dignitaries travels in from other countries.
This is the first time that I have visited Virginia and the experience was not a pleasant one and one that I shall surely not want to remember because of the way I was treated at your hotel in Chantilly, Virginia. This sort of thing should never happen a guest in any hotel. There is a way in which matters are dealt with and staff members should conduct themselves. The way in which I was treated was not very embarrassing in the front of other guests and my children. I felt very humiliated because of the manner in which those clerks treated me. I shall surely expose this hotel to the media.

I got a call from the Manager Mr. Wilson, who apologise and offer me services in which I refused, and advised that they will be hearing from my lawyer concerning this.
