juvinile center - my human rights
Hello my name is Sara, I've been looking for some information that could help me figure out what I can do about my situation. Well I went to juvinile hall when I was 12 years old. This happened in Los Angeles county in the year 2001. I was embarrased, humiliated,and treated like a criminal. Yes I was a rebelious child and my mom called the police cause she said I threatened her. I just think she could'nt handle me anymore and she did'nt know what to do. Well first of all when I got taken to the police department I sat there for hours without being offered anything to eat or drink. I think I sat there all night. Then I got taken to the juvinile center and they made me take my clothes off. I had to shower in front of a woman(wich by the way was a dike) and she was looking at me in a way that made me feel very uncomfortable. I was only held there for a week, but I can tell you my expirience there was very traumatizing. I do'nt really like talking about it, but well reacently I found out there is a lawsuit against the jails here in San Bernardino county. I was just wondering if I could do anything about it. Even if I was a rebelious kid i did'nt deserve for my being to be humiliated and violated that way. Please write back to my email if you think you can help at saragabby1@live.com thank you
