K-Mart - Free 10 Kmart gift card DuracellProctor Gamble promotion

I visited the Kmart store at 11330 Montwood Dr, El Paso, TX 79936 on the morning of July 28th 2007. I found one of the coupons in the health and beauty section of the store. I took a pack 8 AA Duracell batteries and 2 bottles of scope to pay at the Customer Service desk (the regular lines were very long). The CS manager was not at all familiar with this promotion. She begin to call other stores to ask them how it worked. She then told me that the 2 bottles of Scope that I bought did not count because they were the trial size. I stated that I got them from a bin that said 'Travel' not 'Trial'. She stated again that they were trail. I said that it was ok that I would trade for something else. I then got two regular size containers of Pringles which is a PG product. I went to pay this time in the regular checkout line and this time it was the same story with the cashier not aware of the promotion and not know what to do. So anyways she just left her station and went to talk with the CS manager. Meanwhile I had to stand there embarassed while the line grew longer and longer behind me with people waiting to check out. Finally, the cashier came back and told me that she could not complete the purchase for me and that the CS manager could further explain. I therefore went to speak to the CS manager. She said that she talked with the store manager and was told that 1st my Pringles do not qualify because they were not a stated product on the coupon. I told her that they are a PG product and the coupon only states 'participating PG products' and know where does it state on the coupon what PG coupons are the participating ones. She states the ones listed on the coupon. I state that how do you know that these are not just put on there as examples. She then states that it does not matter because the store manager said that I do not have the the correct Duracell batteries and that the correct ones say 'Saver Pack' on them and the store sold all of them. I have since looked every where for these special 'Saver Pack' batteries put they are no where to be found. I feel that both the CS Manager and store Manager did not want to allow me to participate in this promotion and did everything possible to stop me. I have since gone to another Kmart store and had no problem using my coupon. This was all a very stressfull experience for me. To be made to look like I am trying to get away with something or take advantage of something. I use coupons on a regular basis and am very attentive to the details of a coupon and its use thereof.

Inproper Use Of Coupons

There are several valid complaints on the Kmart promo, however, this is not one of them. You did try to incorrectly use this coupon. It does say excludes trial sizes, you try to get away with that by saying I got travel size, not trial size?? - also, there IS a list of brands printed on the back of the coupon, Pringles IS NOT one of them. Please, there are many, many valid complaints on this issue, please do not contaminate them with your trying to improperly use the coupon

Every K-Mart experience has been a very pleasant one for me. I have went to K-Mart numerous times during this promotion throughout the Cincinnati area, they have been nothing but nice to me. Coupons were out and plentiful, product was in stock and all the CSRs and Managers ran the coupon through, no questions asked.

Most likely the reasons that all these people had issues at K-Mart is bc they were abusing the system, trying to run 50 coupons through at once and exploit the system.
