Blockbuster - Dropping membership
I have been a customer for over a year. I receive a movie in the mail and return it to the store for them to mail and in return I get a free movie. My membership is for one movie at a time with an unlimited number that I can rent per month. Late in June I receive an e-mail stating there were numerous complaints regarding my account and they were going to suspend until further investigation. I called and was told it was because I failed to return five movies, starting after Christmas of this year. I told them to just contact my local Blockbuster store and see that I walked out of the store with a free movie one to two days after the date they mailed me a movie. That meant I DID return the movie. The rep on the phone agreed that would clear it up, but then two days later I receive an e-mail that I was dropped from the program. No reason given, nothing. I believe it is because I have done a real good job in getting as many movies as I can each month and I'm really costing THEM money to have me as a customer. I mean, I had been getting as many as 10 or more movies per month. Divide that by 10.00 and you see how cheap these movies were for me. I pay my monthly bill on time and I return each and every movie back to the store. The only reason I got dropped is that I'm costing them too much...in other words, I took them for their word that it would be unlimited rentals. Unfair advertising.
