IUD Mirena - IUD Mirena nightmare
When my husband was in the service I had the IUD mirena inserted when my son was 6 months old around january 2004. The doctors pushed this on me and told me that it was basically fool proof and a great contraceptive. Within a few months I got cysts on the outside of my privates which were confirmed by several doctors later followed by what the doctors thought were ovarian cysts. I had so much pain and cramps with this I was checked out by doctors numerous times and nothing seemed wrong. I had severe back pain and had x rays done and nothing seemed wrong with it but some days I couldnt even walk upward. We moved to Ohio a little over a year ago and I started bleeding and went to the hospital and found out I was pregnant so the IUD was removed however just minutes before the blood work came in the strings fell out. They are supposed to come out if it is faulty long before then. The IUD was absolutely stuck in there. Well within days I was back to the hospital and found out I had a tubal pregnancy and had sugery which failed so I had to have chemo to rid myself of my own child. I have had so many symptoms and problems but since it's removal I have went from days a month of not being able to walk to being back pain free for a year. However since the surgery we havent been able to conceive. I believe the IUD has messed me up worse than I know. Something needs to be done here. There are so many side effects that I and others have had that have never been listed in possible side effects by the company and I was a healthy 20 yr old when I got the IUD. I can never get my child back but I want to stop others from going through waht I have went through. It would actually take an eternity to list everything that has happened with this IUD but what I can tell you is that I would never suggest anyone to get this product but I do urge those who have had similiar problems to step up because together we can cause awareness. I was 22 years old when the tubal pregnancy happened and because of it I truly believe I may never have children again and I will continue to have these cysts on my private area. The IUD has made me feel like less of a woman. I know there will be justice. Will you please help me in my fight against the makers of the IUD?

also wanted to say I almost died the day of my surgery. They said within 1 hr I would have died. Your fallopian tube should be the thickness of a pencil and mine was the thickness of a quarter. If I had died there is no doubt in my mind a lawasuit could have easily went against them. It is actually harder to fight if you have lived through the ordeal. Where is the justice in that??

I Had The Mirena
i had a iud mirena as well and i think i may be sterile as well.i also went through hell with this thing inside me ,yes it was pushed on me to.and they didnt tell me any side affects untill my next visit.i thought i was gonna die.and i think they damaged my insides
Mirena Iud
I had an Mirena IUD put in at April or May of 2006 after my third child.. I had pain for days and horrible bleeding..when I went in to have it removed it could not be found. I then had two surgerys in a week to have the IUD removed. It had gone throughmy uterus and through my stomach. It was found pertruded underneath my stomach where my C-section scar is. I have since then had a great amount of pain there. I reported this to Mirena..I have also talked to Lawyers here in Mo. Help!!
Mirena Is Not Safe
I got the Mirena IUD put in in April 2007, it cost me 700.00. I had hair loss, low or no sex drive, I was constantly on edge, anxious, emotional. I decided to have it removed in october 2007, after only having it for 6 months. I had to go to the emergancy room after bleeding excessivly for 3 weeks, I had an ultrasound, all before finding out I had a HUGE bacterial infection, attributed to the removal, it cost me, 1500.00. Now I'm wondering if I am sterile.
