I bought a new computer in 2004 also bought the service agreement for 3 years. Had no problem's with the computer until November 2006. The monitor stoped working. Called the Geek Squad explained the problem they diagnosed the problem over the phone and said they would send me a refurbished monitor. They did, I had to send my monitor back to them. It worked fine until January 8th,2007. My 3 year service plan expired on January 6th. I did not renew the service plan because it was to much money right after Christmas. Called the company Geek squad explained the problem they said to go to the store were I purchased the computer and explain to them what happened. I did. They told me there was nothing they could do to help me. I was obligated to just buy a brand new monitor. I than sat down and wrote a letter to the company complaints department explaining the situation and how upset I was that this new refurbished monitor only lasted enough time before my service plan expired. And the geek squad would not help us out at all. I received a letter back thanking me for letting them know about my problem and they said they would let the Geek squad no about my complaint. But there was no way possible they could help me. But my complaint will help the Geek Squad make some improments.
So I absolutely got know were with this company and from now on, I will never buy another computer or electronic equipment from them again. Hard lesson learned.

If you're also a victim of this company, then submit your own Best Buy Geek Squad complaint letter
