Education Testing Service (ETS)--Praxis series - Refund
I ordered a service from Educational Testing Service (ETS). However, they send me a letter stating that they had received my request too late to be processed and my money would be returned to me within 6 to 8 weeks. I found this unacceptable. When they sent me the letter saying that they could not be of service to me, why did they not put the payment that I sent them in the same envelope. I have written them several emails and callled a few times, but they refuse to return my money. When I ask them what is taking so long, they say it's company policy--what gives them the right to make policy concerning my money?--or they want to make sure someone does not steal my payment in the mail so they deposit it and issue me one of their checks. Really? What guanantee is there that THEIR check will not be stolen in the mail? This explanation does not make sense either. They have been giving me the run around for several weeks now. This organization has too much power in the educational field. In the educational profession, if you do not like the service that you receive from ETS, you cannot go some else where to receive services. It's ETS or nothing regardless of how they treat you.
