Ebay - Ebay suspended my account for no reason
I had been a member of ebay for quite some time, and had no real problems with them until I decided to start selling on their website. Well, I have only held a couple of auctions with me as the seller. One went wonderfully, and the buyer paid on time, I sent the items on time, and we exchanged positive feedback. Then there was one recently, where I encountered a deadbeat bidder, who did not even plan on winning, and did not pay. I filed an unpaid item dispute, and it ended up being mutually agreed upon to end. I was supposed to get back the final value fees from that as a credit. I have not received that yet.
Now, my real complaint here, is that I wake up this morning, and go to check my ebay account to see how my current auctions are doing. When I went to sign in, I got a message saying that my account has been suspended for 'ebay violations', but was not given anything saying what those violations were. I've done nothing but follow the rules on ebay, and have been civil with all of the members there, so I do not know why I was suspended. They did not give a reason, and the only help I get is their typical form emails that get no replies. I am very upset, because I had a couple of high dollar auctions running, and due to ebay suspending me, I am out thousands of dollars. Plus, I had spent over 200 in listing fees on these two auctions, and I know ebay will not refund these. Not only that, but they have caused my paypal account to be on limited access, which means that I can't send or receive payments for anything. The reason I got from Paypal for the action against me, was that an ebay member had filed one or more 'item not as described' or 'item not received' complaints. However, I had not received any notice of such complaints beforehand, and I've only had one completed sale so far where the buyer has paid, and that one went through successfully with no problems.
I feel that I have either been the victim of an account hijack, or that Ebay itself is performing a very bad business practice. As I am living overseas at the moment due to my husband's military service, I do not know what actions I can take against what Ebay is doing to me, and I want to take whatever actions necessary to recover from my financial losses, worries, and time spent trying to deal with Ebay trying to find out why my account is suspended, and what could be done to get it reinstated. I in fact only want to get my account reinstated for the sheer purpose of completing the sale that had ended prior to Ebay suspending me. Then, I have every intention of ending my account there permanently, and using a more respectable and reliable auction site if I decide to go back to being a seller.
