Sears - Refrigerator Dishwasher Broke in Less Than a Year
Within less than one year of moving into our brand-new home, the also brand-new appliances from Sears needed expensive repairs. The Kenmore refrigerator wouldn't keep a steady temperature, and food either spoiled or froze. It cost over 200 to have the damper replaced. Of course this item was not under warranty.
Shortly after that, the heating element on the Kenmore Elite dishwasher burnt out, and had to be replaced. This item was also very expensive, and again, not covered under warranty.
In addition, the repairman didn't come to install the new heating element when scheduled, then lied and said that he came and no one answered the door. My husband ended up having to install the heating element himself.
I will never purchase another appliance from Sears, and advise everyone to shop elsewhere for their appliances.
