I ordered a chicken tamale at this restaurant in Downtown Kirkland and recieved something in a flour tortilla smothered in sauce. The main problem with this is that I have an allergy to wheat flour and can cause some serious complications if I eat wheat. I question the waitress about my order and she assured me the order was indeed a corn tamale with no wheat flour.I told the waitress my dilemna with wheat flour and asked her again if the dish had wheat in the dish. She told me emphatically it did not have wheat flour.
My companion agreed with me it was a flour tortilla ( it was white and folded together )
I sent the dish back to the kitchen and she brought me out a new dish, this time with no fork to eat the new order with and she made a concentrated effort to ignore me.
