Ray''s Transfer Storage - No interstate registrationdamaged stolen goods
Ray's Transfer had a contract with our company to relocate us to Santa Fe, NM. They began packing on May 5,2006 and left early. The movers came on May 6 to pack and load. They knew we had to leave by 5pm, and said to go ahead and they would finish packing and loading.
They were to arrive in Santa Fe, NM by noon on Monday, May 9, but did not arrive until 9PM saying they had had truck difficutlties.
As they began unloading and we began to unpack it was clear that valuable iterms had been poorly packed and were damaged. They said: 'oh, don't worry about it you have purchase extra insurance to cover an additional 40,000.
They left without giving us any inventory. After throrough unpacking, we have found damaged and stolen good totaling more than 69,000. They have yet to try to offer any settlement and the extra insurance company is 'dragging their feet', and sent an unqualified appraiser who offered us only 4,000.
A theft report has been filed with the New Mexico State Police and Corsicana Police Department.
Some of these items are heirlooms, antiques, and rare collectibles that are premanently damaged or stolen.
