Isuzu Motors America,,,, Inc. - Defective Engine
My husband and I purchased a 1999 Isuzu Tropper in 2000. It was a great little truck, until the oil light came on one day at around 50,000 miles. It didn't seem to be burning oil, though everytime we checked it, it was low. We took it to a local Isuzu dealer who determined the engine was bad and replaced it under warranty.
Once again at around 50,000 miles, the new engine starting burning oil. Only this time, it wouldn't be covered under warranty. We babied the truck as much as we could and were very careful with checking the oil, but the truck is now un-drivable. And like so many other Trooper owners out there, we found its very expensive, 3000-5000, to replace the motor, if you can find one.
In my opinion, Isuzu should be held responsible for selling a defective vehicle.
Why isn't there a class action against them for this?
