ChevronTexaco - Benefits accrued as a long-term contract employee
I failed to receive severance benefits upon termination of a long-term contract with Chevron (now ChevronTexaco). I was retained as a contract employee from 07051989 until 03062003, and was a permanent employee of Chevron from 21978 until 71980. I was not aware that contract and temporary workers were entitled to some, or all, the benefits accorded permanent empoyees, until reading recently about the Microsoft class action.
There was a 4 week per year of severance benefit in place at the time of my release from ChevronTexaco, as well as one or more employee savings and company stock acquisition plans.
I would be happy to supply additional details upon request.
Sincerely yours,
Owen Hale
