Bayer Healthcare - Major Medical Problems
I had the Mirena IUD placed in December of 2006. Since having this device inserted I have suffered from ovarian cysts, mood swings, abdominal pain, decreased sex drive, foul discharge, weight gain, cystic acne, and the list goes on and on.
I went to the ER a few weeks ago with abdominal pains so severe that I was taken to the ground. It was determined that I had an 8 cm. mass on my left ovary which I just had surgically one week ago. While having the mass removed, I also had the Mirena removed as well. I am a 29 yo woman who has never had a medical problem in my life. After reading up on the Mirena extensivley, I am more than convinced that this device is the cause of all of my medical problems.
I have endored surgery, pain, and emotion distress due to the fact that this was device was poorly represented and explained to me before insertion.
