Experian - Discrimination against the person
Experian debit a persons credit score for applying for credit. This discriminates against the individual because shopping round cor the best credit damages your credit score. The credit score policy is implemented by Experian. There is no legal basis for this. This means that Experian has more control over the personal finances than the Government of the United States. This leads to injustice in the system.
See the letter sent to Experian Boardof Directors Below:
An Open letter to the Board of Directors of Experian, and the White House and the media of the United States .
Dear Sirs,
I find I have to write to the Board of Directors about their policy, and as it affects myself, and every other person within the record systems of the company known as Experian, I would like to point out to you that you are breaking the law.
As such I must ask you to cease and desist or I will seek a class action against your firm.
Further, I will also seek personal damages against each and every individual officer of the firm because each and every individual officer is jointly and severally liable for the actions of the firm known as 'Experian.'
The practice of debiting a persons credit score for '_inquiries_' into a persons credit worthiness must cease immediately. You have no legal right to impose an arbitrary debit of a persons credit score for 'inquiries' into their current credit worthiness.
You are, and I repeat, _You ARE_ discriminating against the person, and that means potentially everyone you hold records on, by your actions and currently implemented policies.
That means _You_ are breaking the law against the individual.
You have no legal basis for your companies current practice.
I therefore instruct you, that, as the acting Officer(s) in receipt of this letter, to place the following motion, as the first item of business, on the agenda at the next meeting of the Board of Directors of Experian.
Motion to dismiss the current practice of debiting a persons credit score for legitimate inquiries into a persons credit worthiness by person, corporation or any other lawful body for the purpose of determining the individuals credit worthiness.
I, like millions of other individuals in America, have never done anything to warrant my credit worthiness being damaged by my actions. It is being damaged by your actions, and the more you delay, the more damage you are personally doing to me and everyone else who is affected by your actions.
You, as officers of the company that is known commonly as Experian, have discriminated against me, and everyone else who has sought to apply for credit and seen their credit score debited by each company to whom they applied to determine the conditions of that credit.
They, like me, have done no illegal act!
Your action, to debit their credit score, is not reported by you to the affected individual, and impacts them at some later time when your records are again examined by a financial institution. You do not tell the affected individual that you are debiting their credit score for an '_enquiry_!'
Either justify your policy or amend your behavior and return the affected parties credit scores to their rightful level. Your current practice gives you more power than the Government of the United States over it's population, and you have NO Legal basis for your policy!
Your policy has led to a social impact on millions of upstanding citizens who have been denied credit through no fault of their own but to try and find the best deal available for themselves. Therefore I put it to you to justify your current practice, or change your system to a fair and open process.
Sincerely
P. E. contact details removed for security.
Experian are effectively punishing the people for going about their lawful right to apply for credit and shop around for the best credit deals. This is discrimination against the person.
Responses to Experian Complaint
Individual
I agree; I am a home owner and I have applied for a loan and the only letters that I got with a declined status has been from Experian. This is unfair and unjust and something should be done. To add to the disappointment the credit scores are affected.
If you're also a victim of this company, then submit your own Experian complaint letter
