IUD Mirena - Adverse Side-effects
I had mirena inserted in 2005 and removed in 2007, I gained 40 lbs in the first year that I had it. I also had the tummy bloating, cramps, loss of period, mood swings, dry acne, depression, and the kicker is that Ive been trying to get pregnant since 2007 after I had it removed with no such luck, pain during sex, I have regular paps and so a disease is not the culprit. It took me the last two years to the weight I still carry 10 lbs more than I originally weighed, I still have the acne. Since i don't have great medical insurance getting a prognosis of my female organs is out of the question,I didnt have any problems getting pregnant before I had it (hence the reason I had it inserted) I wish that I would have been informed of all the risks, I personally asked the Dr. if the hormones would have any side effects such as weight gain and was assured that it was a local hormone contained in my uteris. Why couldnt they have told me everything? I still live with the long term side-effects and will always have the stretch marks, and acne scars. Please help me to find a class action lawsuit also! @
