Mirena IUD - hORRENDOUS SIDE EFFECTS FROM THIS DRUG
I AM A 45 YEAR OLD FEMALE THAT AFTER DECIDING THAT MY FAMILY WAS COMPLETE OPTED TO USE THE MIRENA IUD FOR LONG TERM BIRTH CONTROL. I UNDERSTOOD THAT COMPARED TO MANY TABLET FORM CONTRACEPTIVES THAT THE MIRENA WAS A SAFE OPTION DUE TO LOW HORMONES.
I HAD MY MIRENA INSERTED IN JUNE OF 2007 HAVE BECOME A DIFFERENT PERSON TO THE POINT WHERE MY HUSBAND KEPT ASKING ME WHERE HIS WIFE HAD GONE. I EXPERIENCED EXCESSIVE WEIGHT GAIN FOR NO REASON, MY MOOD SEEMS TO CHANGE DAY BY DAY COUPLED WITH CRIPPLING ANXIETY. I HAVE ZERO ENERGY FEELINGS OF LETHARGY THAT ARE COMPLETELY UNCHARACTERISTIC OF ME. MY HAIR HAS BECOME SO THIN LIFELESS I HAVE CONTEMPLATED WEARING A WIG. MY HIPS KNEE JOINS ACHE BURN RELENTLESSLY I WAKE NUMEROUS TIMES THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT WITH THE WORST TINGLING NUMBNESS IN MY FINGERS IMAGINABLE.
A FEW DAYS AGO I DECIDED TO TRY INVESTIGATE WHY WHEN ALL MY SYMPTONS STARTED TO SEE IF I COULD PINPOINT THE CAUSE. I RESEARCHED MIRENA WEIGHT GAIN DISCOVERED A WEALTH OF WOMEN ALL EXPERIENCING THE SAME DIBILITATING SYMPTONS AS ME. I WAS SHOCKED BUT ALSO RELEIVED TO HAVE FOUND WHAT I HOPE WILL BE THE CURE. TOMORROW I AM SCHEDULED TO HAVE MY MIRENA REMOVED BY MY OBGYN IN GUILFORD CT I CAN'T WAIT. THIS DRUG NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED IT'S MANUFACTURERS HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO ALL THE WOMEN THAT HAVE SUFFERED AS I HAVE.
