Hillsborough County Schools homebound''hospital program - Discrimination
My medically disabled son is receiving 4 hours of instruction per week and has been in the homeboundhospital program since Kindergarten, he is very bright and on a 2nd - 3rd grade level. I am told repeatedly due to budget cuts that's all the system can afford. He has a constitutional right to a free and high quality edication and yet he is being denied that right. He is 11 years old and he has been retained twice. I was once told that in order to receive a quality education I may have to move OUT OF STATE!! Can anyone help me? My son is very bright and a VERY good child. He deserves a chance to learn! If they won't educate, they need to compensate!! Then he can attend a private school with small classes!! Help Us!
