IUD Mirena - IUD perforated my uterus
I had the mirena IUD inserted on Thursday 81409, I had severe cramping in the office and managed to get myself home about an hour later after having it implanted. The cramping continued through out the night. The next day I still did not feel well and I started to have more intense cramping on my side that I first mistaked for gas pains After 3 days of intense cramping I finally called my obgyn who told me to go the ER. I went on Sunday morning 81709 to the er. After doing an ultrasound they discovered that the IUD was not in my uterus. I then had an xray and the IUD was found by my kidney. I had to have emergency surgery to remove the IUD and to coterize my uterus because there was a small hole in my uterus. I am not on two weeks of recovery.
