BANK OF AMERICA - RIPOFF NSF FEES
I forgot to transfer money from my savings to my checking, made some debit card purchases, and was hit with 560.00 in overdraft fees. I thought that I would call, they would see that I had the money in savings, in their bank. I thought that they would see that I had never had this happen before, and would refund most of the fees. I was wrong, they were rude, then they tried to explain to me that I was being charged for 4 items, even though there was enough money to cover them, because I had items outstanding at that time. I said that was true, but I was charged for those items the next day, I was charged for the items because they were outstanding, then again because they posted the next day. That's a clever way of double billing, how can that be legal? I am a single mom, and am out of work, I told the rep. on the phone. The only money that I have is my savings, and I feel like they stole some of it. They basically said I was stupid for not keeping up with it, so I deserved the fees.
