Trans Union - Trans Union''s failure to investigate disputes.
Upon attempting to take advantage of lower interest rates and refinance our mortgage, we learned there was a total of five mortgages on our credit along with an RV loan and multiple credit cards. We conducted further research into our correspondence files, only to learn that Trans Union failed to remove previous accounts that were brought to their attention last year. To further complicate the problem, they added additional accounts and mortgages to my credit file that did not belong to me. I spent hours on the phone attempting to resolve this with Trans Union and was continually told, the only action I could take was to dispute the accounts. After pointing out that Trans Unions was also reporting the wrong address, and that I had written a letter last year and provided the proper documentation, I was told that I must be mistaken. Trans Union is costing me thousand of dollars, possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars in the long run by continually violating my rights in regards to the Fair Credit Reporting act.
