Your Comments: Three operations, to correct TMJ. Initial operationsurgery, left me in extreme pain on left lower jaw quadrant. Two additional surgeries, still did not correct problem. Dr. Donald Liberty, Kaiser South Sacramento, told me I was a drug abuser and needed psychiatric help. For two years I continued to suffer extreme debilitatiing pain. In January of 2009, I went to my Dentist and he x-rayed and discovered that Dr. Liberty had drilled through my tooth and root, while placing a plate in my left lower jaw. This in turn, fractured the tooth and killed the nerve. I requested copies from Kaiser South of my original Xrays and you can clearly see, the damage to the affected area. Therefore, in January of 2009, I first learned of Dr. Libety's mistake. Dr. Wagner of Kaiser Oakland, said Kaiser would pay for the removal of the affected tooth, from an outside provider. Kaiser Member services has now denied to reimburse me for the procedure, of removing the affected tooth Dr. Liberty destroyed in the amount of nearly 800.00, which was performed by Dr. DDS Rotas in Roseville, Ca. The extreme pain caused by the damaged tooth, is now subsiding, with the removal of the affected tooth.
