I ordered my services on the 3rd of June 2009 (less than a week ago). Three days later signal is lost and the technician can only come a week later! The signal lost is because the way the dish was installed. I wish I could upload pictures of it.
It could be funny, if it wouldn't be so sad. I am in Florida and on the 20th floor.... the dish is attached by few synthetic strings to un attached tripod... I wonder, with our famous weather: how strong of the wind this kind of installation can take? Is there any codes for them?
Now, I am waisting my time calling them every day with no resolution. The regular script reading takes place each time:
'WE apologies for what happening......I understand it's a bad situation..... BUT the technician is not coming.... '
When I placed an order, tech came in next day! AND NOW when they have me liable for 480.00 for early cancellation and, the tech can only come in a week!
About liability of 480.00: no one told me upfront about it. Even When thech was leaving my home after tying the dish with ropes to the unattached tripod, I asked him if I need to sign anything. He said 'no'. Now they saying this is a valid contract and I will pay 480.00.
And this is only for 3 days when I was getting their service

I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE BUYING A DVR BUT FIND OUT WHEN I CANCELED SERVICE THAT IT WAS LEASED. I DIDN'T LEASE IT I BOUGHT IT. THIS IS FRAUD...... PLAIN AND SIMPLE. I AM SENDING THE OTHER RECEIVERS BACK BUT NOT THE ONE I GAVE THEM 97.00 FOR.

I also have Directv and hate it. The signal goes out just about every day,They keep wanting to send a servicman out and it's the weather. It rains just about everyday now and so the service goes out. I want to cancel and I heard that they go into your account and charge you. So I am ready to file a lawsuit for the lousy service which I am not getting what I am paying for.
