Sears - Kenmore Elite - Calypso Washing Machine
Several years ago we purchased a Kenmore Elite Calypso Washing Machine from Sears. This machine has not worked more than it has worked.
We received paperwork to opt in to a class action lawsuit several years ago. At the time our lives didn't have the time to fill out the paperwork. Therefore, we missed that opportunity. However, we were told many times by many different service technicians that Sears would replace the washer if three repairs were made within a year.
That is a blatant joke and its not funny! This machine has had the electronics, washer plate, drum etc. replaced at least 9 or more times since purchase. Not only does this machine have a destinctive smell of mildew our clothes smell like mildew and it TEARS OUR CLOTHES UP intermittenly.
At the end of our maintenance agreement in the fall of 2008 we didn't renew our maintenance agreement. It was my understanding that Florida had 'Lemon Law' that would be suitable to meet our replacement. My husband I do not want to put anymore money into this washer. There is not a dirty word that is bad enough to describe this washing machine.
Please help me do something - anything quick. I am tempted to take it to the front doors of our local Sears and paint Lemons on it, as many as will fit.
Respectfully,
Gayle Roy
