Goya Foods Inc. - Cigarette Butt found in Tinapa Sardine Can
Good Morning, On May 12th my mom purchased a can of Goya Tinapa Sardines at Stop Shop. Once she got home she opened the can and started eating them, at one point she felt something hard and chewy. She then checked what it was and it was a cigarette butt. She then started feeling nausea and started throwing up and blood came out at one point. We then called the ambulance and they took her to the emergency room. I called Goya right away and notified them that there was a smoked cigarette butt in the sardines. They now want to pick up the cigarette butt, but I would like to get it tested first and then give it to them. I still have the can, half the sardines, and the cigarette. I would like to get all of it tested becuase my mom ate half of the sardines and God knows how long they have been canned up with that cigarette and chemicals. My mom is not even a smoker. I am extremely disappointed, in my house all we use is Goya products. But after this, my mom does not want anything in a can.
