Consumer Portfolio services - Late fees
I like everyone else in the last 2 years have been laid off from my job. Unemployment benefits are a fraction of the money that I was making while working. I have a car that was financed through CPS. When I called them and told them that I was laid off and asked if they could change the due date on my vehicle payment to the end of the month I was told absolutely not. Now every month I get harassing phone calls 2 to 3 times a day and they leave all of my personal business on the answering machine. I have also noticed that in the last 1 12 that I have had the car I have paid almost 5,000 and it is showing that I still owe 9,000 and I only financed 10,2000. Their late fees go up by 25.00 every month and I think that is a scam!
