Lorenzo Auto Repair - Auto repair shop overcharging and not fixing the car correctly
Dec. 2008. My car was pulled in for repair. The guy said he will call back with estimate. He didn't call back so after 3 week I called. He said he has busy and he will check the car out and call me back. Jan, 09 I called him and asked him what was wrong with the car. The mechanic went on to say what he believes what the problem without even checking the car out. I told him when you check out to call me back. Two week went by and no word from him. I called him and he told me it will be about 1200.00 because it’s the motor. I told him I need to know what wrong with the car. He called me back about the first of Feb. 2009 said he has broke the car down and it is the motor. So I gave him the okay to fix it. He said he has to check around for the parts before he can start to fixes it. I agree to purchase the parts myself but he refuses. I called him back in about two week and he said it will be ready in about a week. Now this is March 2009, I still have not heard from him, I called him. Now he tell me the car cost 1400.00 and it will be ready in two day. I told him I want an itemized bill of all the work alone with the old part. He never received any bill or statement. He said he can show me the parts on the car, which the bill doesn’t mean anything because he can write whatever on a piece of paper. I asked him why have the amount change. I called him in three day and he said come and pickup the car up this afternoon. I called him to let him know I was on my way to get the car. He didn’t answer the phone, when I did get in touch with him three day later the price is now 2200.00. I asked for the bill he said that I don't get a bill until after he received his money. I refused to pay that bill. I call the lien holder Ford Motor Credit and explain to them what were going on and told Ford Motor to pickup the car I can't paid for a car that I don't have. He send Ford Motor credit the bill for 3500.00 Since them I have received a letter from the mechanic about he will be selling the car May 15, 2009. Now the bill is 3660.00.
