Bank of America - Fees and Overdraft charges
Bank of America religiously applies overdraft fees to accounts. My particular situation was that a large transaction came in they paid it charge me 35.00 for being 2.00 short. This put the account futher in the negative. Two transaction for the amount of 2.42 and 3.44 came in, 35.00 a piece, they paid the 2.42, returned the 3.44 which came back through on a negative balance and added another 35.00 in fees. This is not the first time this has happened.
Prior to this I paid a total of 900.00 in fees, for a 5.00 mistake. they got sued at some point for doing something similar and changed their policy however this occurred in April and now the policy we already got a post card stating it was changing doesn't go into effect until June. So in the mean time the fees rack up and they accumulate more money.
I contacted them several times however, their response was the fees are applied correctly too bad. Everyone makes mistakes and yeah posting large transactions first may be helpful but what happens when the little was rack up fees and they continue to let it happen. I don't have this kind of money to shell out to them when they let small items, 2.00 transactions come in and hit the account for 35.00
