JK Harris - Never did what they promised
My wife and I owed back income taxes and we saw an advertisement for JK Harris. We contacted them and met with one of their advisors, they said they would be able to help us so we wrote them a check for 650 and agreed to have additional amounts deducted from our checking account. We filled out the paperwork and submitted to our advisor and then we didn't hear anything back. We contacted JK Harris and was told that they never received the paperwork. They sent us new forms, we filled it out and sent it in and then entered advisor hell. We basically were assigned to different advisors (one of them was previously an administrative assistant we dealt with!). By the time we realized that it was a scam, they had completed deducting their fees and then we had are wages garnished by the IRS and then received a letter from JK Harris stating they had completed their work in full!! The interresting thing was, we ended paying back everything we owed in back taxes plus additional penalities. I contacted JK Harris and was told they would review my case and decide whether or not they would refund any money I paid to them. Well, they never did. Therefore, I'd like to get some of my back through the class action lawsuit that has been filed.
