DOLLAR GENERAL - Abused and Used
Like many others I feel DG deals with LIES when trying to rid themselves of older employess not meaning age persay but in length of time there.I myself was forced to quit.In Aug of last year my mgr.was asked to leave the co.WHY,I do not know,however during the investigation,I was asked if I wanted to give my 2 wks notice by the DM,and I said NO,Why would I do that.I had then been with the co.for 2 years.NO write ups,NO complaints on my work everything was good.Then every little thing or move I made my mgr.was told to write me up.A low basket size,then it was something about money,which I pointed out that it has been that way for x amt of years and I have only been in this store for a short period.Then because I was out 2 days found deposits in the safe and took them to the bank,she wanted me written up for what others did not do.The list goes on and on untl one day was asked to go to the old store I worked in,I had a bad feeling about it and told my mgr.this but had to go.The girl at the register was short money at the end of the day,and I was going to be fired for her shortage.I said WHY do we have cameras and videos when you could see I DID NOT take money.I finally just felt no matter what I did they were going to either fire me or get me to quit,and since I had done nothing wrong decided it would be best to quit;Summing this up,seem to me that not matter how good a worker you are some of the DMS in all districts,just do whatever to cover their own butts by getting rid of people they KNOW are good honest workers.I did not feel in the end I could properly deal with the money as my nerves were shot.They will do anything to anyone and have no concience about ruining peoples lives or takeing their livlihood away.I have read many of the complaints across the nation and the complaints are the same.Abused,Used,and accused wrongly.I want nothing from them,but want others to know this;NEVER let your guard down,NEVER TRUST,as that only leaves you wide open to be ruined.
