Henry Ford Hospital 2799W.Grand Blvd - The Damage done at Henry Ford Hospital
Ihad surgery on my left Kidney(May 20,2008) to remove a tumor and in the process theentire muscle in my back on the right side was damaged. The surgery was performed robotically and I agreed to allow Dr. Rogers to show my surgery(via closed circuit) to a conference of doctors to promote the robot.During several consultations Dr. Rogers informed me of scar tissue that may or may not cause a problem.Furthermore, if this scar tissue was to be a problem,he would then stop the surgerym, awake me and schedule the surgery for another day(which by the way would mean no surgery for the group of doctors to view). The surgery would then be preformed entering my body from a different angle and not through the stomach. So once on the operating table with no one to protest or complain Dr. Rogers changed his train of thought and continued with the surgery and his surgical demonstration.I was in surgery for over seven(7) hours and thats where and when all the damage occurred.I could not walk for two(2) days,I was disabled for over four(4) months and am still unable to return to work full time.My sex life has suffered, I have exhausted my savings, my home is in foreclosure and my health insurance is about to expire.
