royal holiday resort - false information
While on vacation in cancun, mexico we were asked to attend a free lunch at another resort than we were at. They picked us up, They tried to sell us a membership in Royal Holiday for the price of 59.000 dollars. We told them no. Every time we wanted to leave, another agent got a hold of us. They said they had a resale for the sum of 10,000 which included platinum membership with 20,000 points on it. They told us we would have 2 or 3 days to cancel if we still did not want it. We tried to cancel and we were told that we signed a paper, stating we could not They took the sum 6000.000 from our credit card and bank account as a down payment. We ttried and tried to cancel but no one wanted to deal with us. So this was in july 2007. Now we pay our monthy payments and paid a fee of 450.00 for maintance. Never late on any payments. We still keep trying to talk to some one about selling it , but no one returns calls, or phone number that do not work. I called so many times to asked them why my account reads we only have 10.000 point not the 20.000 they told us, and also why it said we were now bronze members, not platinum, I emailed them asking them to call me. Never get a call back. SO for 10.000 we got a room (WOO) If we wanted food its an extra 80.00 a day per person, They dont even have the courtesy to pick you up at the airport or take you back, you pay for that too. We owe them a balance of about 3,800 more and really want to sell this. we went there on an all inclusive vacation with airfare included, food, tip and the room for two of us for 2,300. We are in our late seventy and could do better with that plan. I'll keep trying to get to talk to some one in this campany to resolve this, I finally got through to someone on the phone 2 hours agao, they told me a man named john would call me back no later than 5 minutes later, Is this a joke. They get your money and then treat you like dirt. I would tell you to stay away from royal holiday, as i fell we were taken. remember this is Royal Holiday timeshare
