direct tv - being charged for a direct tv aggreement i didn''t know about
After completing my 24 month committment with Direct tv we moved. We called and ordered another receiver.
It was shipped to the new house. the technician installed it when he moved our service. 10 months later I cancelled the satellite service and was informed, after I cancelled, that the 24 month contract was renewed with the receipt of the additional receiver. I have been told:
It is stated in the customer aggreement I received in'05.
It is stated on the billing we received after the new receiver was installed ( it isn't)
I was mailed a new agreement in April '08 stating the new 24 month agreement (never got it)
I wrote a dispute letter Dec 5, '08 and never got a response
They have sent this to collections.
Do I have any recourse?
