Blue Hippo - Withdrew money from my bank account without my concent.
I called the 800 number on October 9th for information after seeing their product on television. I talked to the rep and he infomed me that it would be a 124 down payment and they would send me the contract which I never received. Before getting a 'layaway' aggrement I had called and told the rep that I was not interested in the computer before getting any contract or layaway aggrement. The rep assured me that the money would not be taken out of my bank account.but the transaction had already taken place which I did not notice on my account as the time. I called again and the rep told me I would get a refund, however it would take 45 days. That was on October 29 I called again and again and I could not get a rep on the phone waiting and waiting for a rep to pick up on the customer service line. I called on the 8th of January with the help of my daughter she finally spoke to someone who refused to let her speek to a supervisor. They told her it would take another 15 days for the complaint to get to the supervisior. My daughter sent a complaint to the BBB for help. I am on disabilty social security. I cannot afford for someone to take money from me without my permisson and it still says I owe BHippo 2300 balance due. I dont understand how they can take money out of my account without sending me any information or contract especially after I called to tell them I was not interested in their product. The first phone call to them the rep DIDNOT tell me it was a layaway program.Blue Hippo was dishonest and only wanted a way to get my account number.
